ARatorio for the Mis-Remembered
ARatorio for the Mis-Remembered is an experimental theatrical project through the University of Iowa Next Steps Grant, which focuses on telling the stories of local veterans both in person and in virtual reality. It is a continually ongoing project, which will eventually consist of three parts telling the stories of twelve veterans stationed across the globe. This project also seeks to find methods to blend emerging technologies such as motion capture and VR/AR into the theatrical process to create innovative ways to tell stories to a live audience. The goal is to not only showcase these techniques in this particular project, but to expose students and audiences alike to them to foster the imagination for what the future of the workflow may be.
