Concrete Oasis
Created as part of the Installations and Interactive Performance class taught by Daniel Fine, Concrete Oasis was created out of a desire for a space that could sustain an endless sense of calm and serenity within an elegant and simple framework.
Through interaction with a custom control panel placed on the central pedestal, audience members could tailor the audio-visual experience of the expansive space. Four projected portal windows showcased the selected environment in a panorama while audio filled the cavernous, echoing space to create an all encompassing experience.
Technical Breakdown: Four 5400 lumen laser projectors and a speaker placed under the pedestal, run through the media server Isadora off a Macbook Pro.
