New Age Gorget Tie
An experiment in combining two old forms - the gorget and a standard neck tie - into a singular, high fashion accessory inspired by the designs of Lumecluster. Created of yellow brass and red silk, the accessory spurred an exploration of reimagined armor forms which continues into future projects.
Created as part of a Jewelry and Metalworking class at the University of Iowa, and showcased in a gallery exhibition in the Visual Arts Building along side other student work.
